Below is a flyer that I co-created for a family owned jewlery store based out of the United States Virgin Islands. This company wanted to market their store to the younger generation while keeping the flyers elegant and chic. 

What we decided was to use the company colors and themes and make the relateable

Jewelry Entertainment Tag Team

 

Growing up with parents in the jewelry industry, I'm used to seeing the big, bright and flashy. When coming to Full Sail, I always wondered if celebrities rented their jewelry or did their own all of it. This question has been bothering me forever and today I have found some truth to my question. During my research, I didn't find anything that talks about celebrities personal jewelry but the jewelry that celebrities wear on the red carpet I found some information. “Every designer dreams of having a star wear their jewelry at an awards show. - (McCarthy, 2014)” This quote makes me understand just a little bit more of how the jewelry industry works with the entertainment industry.” A red-carpet turn can make you a star -especially if you're a jeweler – (McDonald, 2012).”Allowing celebrities to wear named brand items on the Red Carpet or the Oscars have become a product placement journey. There are many risks allowing people to wear your jewelry especially when things go missing, but that's the risk for being in this business. In conclusion, I was able to figure out how jewelry companies and the entertainment industry work together to create revenue and traction for both parties.

AM I?

Simran Khemlani is a full time student at Full Sail University, majoring in Entertainment Business. Born in the Virgin Islands, Khemlani has resided in India, California, Alaska and Florida, gaining experience in marketing and branding. Growing up she enjoyed both music and sports, which inspired her to pursue Entertainment Business. Over the years, Khemlani has had the priviledge of working with Julian "The Hawk” Jackson, in public relations and coordinating public events. She has also worked with Plush Recording Studio and Yoga Mix Orlando. Due to the years that Khemlani has invested in the industry, she is proficent in communication and public speaking, marketing and advertising, social media and promotion, and design and creativity. All of which an artist could benefit from. Khemlani's aim is to make sure her clients do not have to worry about anything else but their talent.
